From our humble beginnings in 1962 to our 225 employees today, this is our story.
A Family Business, A Top Honda Dealership
Art Moehn Hondat began as a small-town dealership destined to be a source of quality vehicles for its local community. Established in 1962 by Arthur Moehn, the first Art Moehn dealership was located at 500 N. Jackson St. in downtown Jackson, MI. By the mid-1970s, the Honda franchise was added, followed by Geo in the 1980s.ÂWhen Arthur passed away suddenly in 1991, his son Mark Moehn took over the business, continuing the legacy of providing quality cars with unbeatable customer service. While Mark was in good health when he took over the dealership, several years later, he became ill with cancer, leaving him unable to run the business his father started. With no other family members qualified to run the company, John Kudner, who was married to Art's daughter Jacque, stepped up and purchased the dealership in 1995.
Breaking New Ground In Jackson, Michigan
After taking over the family business, Kudner grew the Art Moehn dealerships over the next several years and, in 2000, broke ground on our present location at 2200 Seymour Rd. The sales, parts, and service divisions were moved in 2001, followed by a state-of-the-art Body Shop a year later. In 2003, construction began on the Honda dealership next door. By 2012, Art Moehn Honda was expanded to include a service drive and detail department, and the Chevrolet showroom went through a substantial remodel to align it with the Chevrolet brand image better.

In 2020, Chris Kudner (John's son and Art's grandson) took over day-to-day operations for the Art Moehn dealerships, bringing the family-run company into its third generation of ownership. By 2021, Chris expanded the Art Moehn legacy even further by introducing a third dealership location, Art Moehn Chevrolet of Chelsea.A Jackson Honda Dealership You Can Count On
